What is the difference between ductile and cast iron?
Cast iron is brittle, ductile contains copper and magnesium, which changes the properties of the bollard. The bollard will bend rather than shatter or snap on impact.
Ductile iron is 35% more expensive than cast iron.

How are Shelters Supplied?
Our Shelters are supplied flat packed ready to install on site. The only exception to this being the Lunar and Sofco Junior Shelters which are fully assembled.

How many cycles can I fit in a cycle locker?
A single sided locker can fit one cycle. A double sided locker can fit two cycles.
Benches & Seats
Which seats are best suited to areas which are prone to vandalism?
Not all seats are vandal resistant. Recycled plastic slats are prone to fire damage as are timber seats which would not withstand a prolonged direct attack. Mild steel seats are best suited to areas of vandalism.
What is the normal sitting height of a seat?
The nominal sitting height of the seat varies depending on the type of seat. A typical height is 450mm. Out benches range from 420mm-520mm.

The lead time on a Bespoke shelter is generally 10-12 weeks from point of order to installation. However on some occasions this can be improved on. If you require a shorter lead time please contact a member of our Sales team.
