The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations are getting into full swing – and we can think of no better reason to take the party outdoors!
Across the UK, communities are coming together to mark Her Majesty’s 70th year on the throne.
We’re great advocates of helping people to connect and share experiences, making the most of the beautiful outdoor spaces where we live, work and visit.

Benefiting from nature

From urban green space to rolling countryside, enjoying time outdoors is essential for our wellbeing.
Research carried out by the National Trust showed an investment of £5.5 billion in green infrastructure would generate £200 billion in physical and mental health benefits.
Greening urban streets and neighbourhoods can start with something as simple as creating attractive areas with the addition of planters and seating.
Our full customisation service is ideal for projects of this kind, uniting people and places through branded street furniture, such as a bespoke Platinum Jubilee laser cut planter we created for Hassocks Parish Council in West Sussex.
Street parks can also be formed through the addition of parklets, carving out safe zones for people to sit, rest, dine and socialise.
Meanwhile people have also been invited to ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’ as part of The Queen’s Green Canopy project.
Whether it’s planting a tree in a community garden or adding street trees to residential areas, our tree protection products provide the perfect guard of honour.

Street parties to remember

Reforms to planning policy are underway as part of the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill.
This will include new tools to reinvigorate high streets; giving residents more control over the planning process; and a new approach to regeneration to restore pride in neighbourhoods.
Temporary measures taking dining outdoors in response to the Covid-19 pandemic will now be made permanent, breathing new life into town centres.
Our street furniture collections are perfect for use by hospitality businesses as well as in the public realm.
From picnic benches to contemporary dining sets, many of our products can be designed to bespoke dimensions to enhance spaces big and small.
Features such as armrests and backrests can also be included, and designs are available with wheelchair access, creating inclusive socialising spaces.
Of course after the party there’s always the clean-up and our litter and recycling bins are long-lasting and highly durable.
With bright, eye-catching designs, large capacity options and extras such as ashtrays, advertising panels and choice of colour available, our litter and recycling bins become a functional part of the landscape.

To serve and protect

When the focus has to be on safety, our heavy-duty bollards are a force to be reckoned with.
We offer one of the most extensive ranges of bollards in the UK, helping to mark out parking areas, separate traffic from pedestrians and guide safe access routes through busy areas.
Our removable bollards are ideal for controlling approaches to event arenas, streets and roads and can include features such as lighting for when the celebrations continue into the evening.
We also manufacture and supply pedestrian guardrails, barriers and posts to protect people and property.

Celebrating come rain or shine

Heatwave or downpour, the unpredictable British weather doesn’t have to affect Platinum Jubilee party plans.
Our collection of canopies and shelters offer cooling shade, a barrier to UV rays and protection from the rain.
Even the Queen herself was shielded from the showers under our Passenger Waiting Shelter when she officially opened Bull Street tram stop in Birmingham.
Once installed, our canopies can be utilised for public performance events, markets, festivals and presentations.

We hope all our clients and communities enjoy celebrations for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – here’s to marking the event in style!
