They say looking back is often the key to moving forward.
However at Broxap, we have already set ourselves some ambitious targets and goals for 2023 and beyond.
In fact we are so committed to the changes we are driving we wanted to do more than simply pledge our progress towards sustainable manufacturing – we wanted to lead by example and demonstrate the direct action we are taking.
As a family business which recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, these latest improvements are another reflection of how we are, and have always been, a future-ready company.
So in sharing our plans in our latest brochure we thought it also fitting that we should celebrate the projects we have successfully delivered and learned from in our journey so far.

Project Transform

Adaptability gives Broxap its competitive advantage.
With each division and department all working from a single site we are able to respond quickly and efficiently to our clients’ enquiries with the most up-to-date and accurate information available.
We put in a team effort to bring architectural vision to life, to customise our products to enable people of all backgrounds and abilities to enjoy outdoor spaces and to be innovative in our designs to support interaction with the built environment.
We also aim to be adaptable in our systems and operations, putting sustainability at the heart of everything we do as we rise to the climate challenge.
And so Project Transform was developed - a capital expenditure programme to support carbon and energy management; to reduce waste; and to generate sustainable product life cycles.
Investments so far include a £1.5 million factory extension to make way for a new automated powder coating plant designed to enhance efficiency, increase capacity as well as cut emissions.
Work is due to start on the installation of solar panels to generate green energy, while briquette technology and wood waste heaters have been fitted to keep the production site warm while reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
Our folklift trucks are all electric and we’ve chosen smart technologies which reduce energy consumption such as a super-efficient fibre laser cutting machine.
We have gone on to invest in a new press brake machine, the construction of new welfare facilities for our employees will soon start and improved outdoor storage space will be built for a safer, smarter, healthier working environment.

Broxap’s Showcase

Details of our investments can be found in our new brochure alongside case studies highlighting the many varied projects we have worked on.
These are of course just a sample of the outdoor spaces we help to transform across the UK every day through Broxap and our Sunshine Gym and Hand Made Places divisions.
Specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of street furniture including outdoor seating, litter & recycling bins, bollards, planters, and signage; cycle parking products; shelters, canopies and walkways; and outdoor gym and playground equipment, Broxap works across every sector.
