Alpamare Waterpark, Scarborough

Formerly known as ‘The Sands’ this waterpark in Scarborough underwent a revamp and Broxap were asked by contractors Tolent Construction Ltd to provide a canopy solution to the entrance as it was deemed Broxap could deliver the most cost effective and aesthetically appealing canopy.

They were particularly keen on one design of the Keep it Kool range of canopies the Twin Conic however wanted it to incorporate the curved building frontage and have the tensile membrane flush to the buildings walls.

Due to the coastal location it was also paramount that the structure met wind/snow loadings. Broxap adapted the Twin Conic design to give the client the desired effect of a ‘flush to wall’ fitting and the canopy meets all wind/snow loading criteria.

The Tensile Fabric give a light bright waterproof canopy that complements the building facade and is in keeping with the theme of water and sand.
