Having initially installed a series of Cantilever Tensile Canopies at the airport bus pick up point for a value of £100,000.00 Broxap were again  approached by Glasgow Airport Ltd to provide a solution for their international arrival passengers. The large area in which passengers passed through upon exiting the building to get to their transportation was very open and draughty; passengers had no protection against varying weather.

The Airport wanted something modern, striking and functional. We set about various designs and consultations, and the resulting solution was an impressive 275m2 bespoke tensile structure complete with lighting and integral guttering. We teamed this with a bespoke Newcastle Senior walkway to ensure complete comfort for passengers.

This challenging installation took place whilst the airport was live and active; and we simultaneously worked along side other trades who were also working in this area. This remarkable piazza canopy now complete, provides passengers with a stylish light and airy cover as they leave international arrivals.

Broxap returned to the airport in early 2017 to provide another covered walkway that traversed the route from the airport terminal to car hire facilities. Again Broxap used the Newcastle Senior design and created a covered walkway that mirrored the existing structure. This structure was designed, manufactured and installed at a cost of £94,391.67.
