Holding a Purple Flag Quality Award and home to several award-winning attractions, Bury is a market town on the River Irwell in Greater Manchester.
The Bury Business Improvement District (BID) worked with the council to help brighten, spruce up and introduce on street recycling in the town centre for residents, businesses, and visitors by investing in new litter and recycling bins.
Part of our renowned Derby E range, we manufactured 89 custom versions of our durable Derby Double E Recycling Bins. The eye-catching design merges traditional with contemporary to attract attention and help direct people to dispose of their waste responsibly.
The right side of the bin was powder coated in sky blue and finished with vinyl text reading ‘Mixed Recycling’. It also features an A3 vinyl poster which outlines the types of materials that can be recycled in the bin including plastic pots, tubs, trays and bottles and well as glass bottles and jars, food tins and drinks cans, aerosols and foil. The left side of the bin carries a more traditional look being powder coated in jet black with a gold Tidyman logo on the front and back, for people to dispose of general waste.
A vinyl white divide line was added down the centre to differentiate between the two sides, adding a standout feature to the bins.
All external surfaces of the bin were coated with Broxap’s advanced, eco-friendly PROTEX primer which employs a nano-coating pre-treatment and achieves BS EN 13438:2013 compliance for superior levels of corrosion protection.
