Central to the landscaping scheme were the Auriga Concrete Benches with FSC® timber slats. Combining the strength and durability of precast concrete with the warmth and natural appearance of responsibly sourced timber, the benches provide comfortable seating areas throughout the campus. Their contemporary design aligns with the college’s modern aesthetic while offering a long service life in a busy educational environment.
The FSC timber slats introduce a softer visual element to the hard landscaping, helping to create welcoming social spaces where students can relax, meet friends or spend time outdoors between lessons. By encouraging outdoor interaction and informal gathering, the seating contributes to a more vibrant and engaging campus experience.

To support site security and effective pedestrian management, stainless steel bollards and stainless steel door barriers were incorporated across key areas of the development. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, these products provide a sleek and contemporary appearance while delivering exceptional durability and minimal maintenance requirements.
The bollards help define pedestrian routes and protect buildings and surrounding infrastructure, while the door barriers safeguard entrances and high-traffic areas.
Promoting active and sustainable travel was done through the installation of Blox C Two-Tier Gated Front Shelters and Easi-Riser Two-Tier Cycle Racks. The cycle shelters provide a secure, weather-protected facility that encourages students and staff to travel by bicycle. Their gated design offers an additional layer of security, helping to deter theft and provide peace of mind for users.
Within the shelters, the Easi-Riser Two-Tier Cycle Racks maximise cycle storage capacity while maintaining ease of use. The gas-assisted lifting mechanism enables bicycles to be stored efficiently on the upper tier, making the system accessible and practical for a wide range of users.
Alongside the cycle parking provision, a Clyde Motorcycle Rack was installed to cater for students and staff who travel by motorcycle or scooter.

As part of Cheadle College’s landmark £27 million redevelopment, the new campus has been designed to provide modern, inspiring spaces that support learning, wellbeing and community engagement.
The external environment plays a vital role in achieving these ambitions, and the street furniture and cycle parking solutions supplied by Broxap contribute to a campus that is not only functional and secure, but also attractive, inclusive and built to serve future generations of students.
