Dartmouth Park is located next to West Bromwich Town Centre and has a long and interesting history. Opened on 3 June 1878 by the 5th Earl of Dartmouth and attended by 40,000 people, Dartmouth Park was a very popular place to be throughout the early 20th century.

Restored in 2014 with Heritage Lottery funding and funding from Sandwell MBC amounting to the sum of £6.4million, today the Grade II listed park boasts a range of activities for all visitors including a play area, ornamental lakes, gym equipment, floral displays, sensory garden and a community Pavilion with viewing tower.

Adding to the beauty and functionality of the park, Broxap designed and manufactured a range of street furniture products.

Our round cast iron bins have a traditional heavy-duty classic design, a nod to the rich history of the park. Finished in Holly Green and manufactured in two sizes, medium and large, the word ‘LITTER’ is casted, and hand painted onto the bins with decorative gold horizontal highlighting bands to match.

Several standard signage columns were also installed throughout the park, guiding visitors in the right direction to various places in and around the park including the town centre, children’s play area, Sandwell Valley and the pavilion.

Our swing gate parking barrier and Georgian telescopic posts help to control access to the park. Both road access products can be opened or closed and locked in position, preventing unauthorised vehicles from entering the green space.

A beautiful Dartmouth Display Case, featuring Otley posts, spike finials and Chatsworth header board was also installed at the entrance, providing an easily accessible place for visitors to read important information and find out about upcoming events.
