As part of the extensive regeneration of Derby Market Hall and its surrounding public realm, our team was commissioned to design and manufacture a range of high-quality seating and cycle parking solutions that would complement the revitalised city centre destination.

Our Sheffield Cycle Stands with Tapping Bars provide secure, convenient cycle parking that encourages sustainable travel into the city centre. Designed to accommodate a variety of bicycle types, the stands offer excellent frame support and security while the integrated tapping bars improve accessibility and ease of use.

By providing dedicated cycle parking close to the Market Hall, the scheme promotes active travel, reduces reliance on car journeys, and helps create a more environmentally responsible urban environment.

The seating provision was delivered through the installation of Helston Large Benches and Litchard Seats. The Helston Large Benches offer generous seating capacity, making them ideal for groups, families, and visitors looking to relax and socialise within the public realm.

Positioned throughout the area, the benches help create natural gathering points and encourage people to spend more time enjoying the Market Hall and its neighbouring public spaces.

Complementing the larger benches, the Litchard Seats provide comfortable and accessible resting places for individuals and smaller groups. Their ergonomic design promotes user comfort, encouraging visitors of all ages to pause and relax.

By increasing opportunities for rest and social interaction, the seating contributes to a more inclusive public space that can be enjoyed by a wider range of users, including older visitors and those with reduced mobility.

Derby Market Hall itself has undergone a major transformation, reopening following a £35.1 million restoration project that has revitalised one of the city's most iconic Victorian landmarks.

Today, the beautifully restored Grade II-listed building serves as a vibrant destination for shopping, dining, entertainment, and community events, attracting tens of thousands of visitors and supporting local businesses. With a lively mix of independent traders, food and drink offerings, pop-up events, and cultural activities, the Market Hall has once again become a focal point for city life.
