Working with E W Beard Ltd. on this project Broxap were tasked with providing a series of large scale timber walkways to connect two school buildings. The surroundings were very picturesque and the school wanted something very ‘natural’ looking so didn’t wish to go down a steel structure route.

Broxap suggested a bespoke version of their Delamere Monoptich Timber Canopy which is modular so can be constructed to form a large scale covered walkway.

Constructed of FSC® (FSC-C122338) Certified Softwood and with a 16mm Structured Multiwall Polycarbonate roof cladding (which was in an Opal colour to provide even more UV filtering and shade beneath) the walkways are secured via galvanized submerged baseplate fixings into concrete pads beneath ground level.

The structure can incorporate ‘cranks’ as well as differing surface levels to create the ultimate ‘natural’ looking walkway.
