A sensory garden at a much-loved community centre has been completed after months of fundraising.
The finishing touches included four Helston curved steel and timber benches designed and manufactured by Broxap Street Furniture.
The seating was an integral part of the proposals by the ETNA Community Centre in Twickenham which wanted to create relaxed and sociable outdoor spaces.
The sensory garden is open to the local community to use at their leisure.
In addition to the seating areas, it includes a planting scheme designed to attract bees and other wildlife as well as stimulate the senses.
An arboreal environment, with trees chosen to suit the locations, will improve biodiversity and cycle parking is also available.
The calm space is completed with benches delivered by Broxap Street Furniture after we worked with centre managers to come up with a product that met the demands of the original design brief.
The series of Helston curved benches feature soft, sweeping shapes which invite people to come together and support each other.
Crafted at our North Staffordshire factory, the seats are made from planed and sanded Iroko on a galvanised steel frame, powder coated in black.
As well as two shorter benches, we manufactured two longer curved benches at almost five metres. These included backrests and armrests for the comfort of users.
