Grahame Park, Colindale

Grahame Park housing estate has undergone a significant regeneration to revitalise the community. The £23 million scheme delivers approximately 4,000 new homes, major infrastructure updates, improved transport links, and a range of high-quality health, library, community, and retail facilities.

As part of this redevelopment, outdoor street furniture, specifically new benches, were introduced around the new homes to support social interaction, promote outdoor activities, and improve the overall aesthetics of the area.

Our Florence Seat brings modern design to outdoor living spaces. Comfortable and practical, the curved benches boast FSC-certified Iroko timber slats across the galvanised steel base and the backrests. Powder-coated to sepia brown (RAL 8014), the benches feature LED light routing at the front to enhance safety and visibility during evening hours. Planting areas surround the benches with greenery to promote biodiversity.

The case of Grahame Park serves as an example of the role of street furniture in urban regeneration and its capacity to transform communities. Future investments towards bus services will improve journey times and link Grahame Park to the rest of Colindale.

Helen Bunch, Executive managing director for Wates Residential, says “It won’t be long now until local people will be enjoying these modern new homes and helping to form a thriving new community.”
