Responsibly-sourced timber seating has been installed outside a students’ union facility.
The new outdoor seating area helps to link campus buildings and services, and creates a relaxing social space at the heart of the University of Liverpool.

A total of eight Caerphilly Picnic Units were made for the area outside the Liverpool Guild of Students in Mount Pleasant.
Two of the units are designed to offer inclusive access to wheelchair users, providing space to sit alongside colleagues and friends at the picnic tables.

The steel and timber furniture from our Caerphilly range consist of FSC-certified planed and sanded hardwood. The steel frames have all been galvanised and powder coated Traffic Yellow.

The Caerphilly Bench accompanies each table as well as our Caerphilly Seat with backrest.

The arrival of the new outdoor furniture comes after the Guild of Students underwent a £14 million refurbishment starting in 2013.
In 2020, the Guild Garden opened outside The Sphinx Bar with new planting and hedging.

And the most recent addition of furniture from Broxap links the Guild of Students building with the Guild Garden, directly opposite Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.
