Red, white and blue flowers bloom in commemorative planters created to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
Hassocks Parish Council felt that the village should celebrate the occasion with a patriotic planting scheme for its hanging baskets and existing planters.
Following talks, the council also decided to invest in two new bespoke planters as a lasting reminder of the national celebration.
It approached Broxap to purchase two Lanarkshire Steel Planters which were installed opposite a row of shops in the village centre.
The 1000mm square planters, powder coated black, feature laser cut text which stands out thanks to a gold backing plate.
This is complemented with a full colour Platinum Jubilee logo on the opposite side and gold alloy bands at the top and bottom of the planter.
The planters make a vibrant addition to the village high street, bringing a splash of colour to the landscape for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come.
