The Newbury Racecourse development has picked up the Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) award for ‘Excellence in Planning to Deliver Housing’ at the industry body’s Planning Excellence Awards.
The development features a range of contemporary homes, many of which boast stunning views across the concourse. The homes are situated approximately two miles out from Newbury town centre, giving residents access to a variety of entertainment facilities.
Blaze Construction, working as part of David Wilson Homes, commissioned Broxap to design and manufacture a range of street furniture to complete the outdoor areas of the new homes project.
With a beautiful form, our Steel & Timber Roslin Seats take the traditional public bench to another level, making it more inviting and memorable. Featuring mild steel frames and thirteen iroko timber slats, the benches were treated with two coats of a waterborne wood stain to increase their longevity.
A number of our Thornhill Stainless Steel Seats were also installed. The simple square armrests add an interesting dimension to the seats which utilise cylindrical shapes in the legs and frame.
Derby Round Litter Bins, complete with three gold vinyl bands and two gold Tidyman logos applied to the back and front, were installed near the benches to help keep the housing development clean and litter free.
Stainless Steel Sheffield Cycle Stands complete the project, creating secure bike parking spaces and promoting active travel to residents across the housing development.
