Oakbridge Primary School is determined to create a culture of love, compassion and nurture by supporting children with the courage and aspiration to achieve excellence. They are committed to their local community and aim for children to ‘be the change they wish to see in the world’.

The new £7 million primary school boasts indoor and outdoor sports provision, a well-stocked library, a bespoke Early Years classroom and a purpose-built art studio. As part of the project, the school was also looking for new shelters and cycle parking to enhance the functionality of their outdoor space and encourage sustainable transportation.

Working with Hobson and Porter, we designed, manufactured, and installed a Plymouth Wave Canopy, galvanised and powder-coated to Goose Grey. The canopy gives a wonderful feel of space beneath and provides a sheltered outdoor classroom for children to play and learn.

Our Coventry Cantilever Cycle Shelter offers a light and airy space for students to park their bikes. Modular in design and powder coated in Goose Grey to match the canopy, the shelter was finished with 25 of our CaMden M Cycle Stands, providing 50 bicycle parking spaces for the school. Our door barriers rounded off the project, preventing doors from overswinging and helping to keep the school building safe.

By promoting outdoor learning and cycling, the school supports sustainable transportation, aligning with broader environmental initiatives within the community.
