Salford Youth Zone, Greater Manchester
Open to anyone aged eight to nineteen, and up to twenty-five for those with additional needs, the Salford Youth Zone has been designed as a community cornerstone. Whether during term time or school holidays, it offers a great place for young people to spend their free time positively.

The youth zone is packed with state-of-the-art facilities, from a climbing wall and gym to a fully equipped music room and dedicated arts and crafts areas. When it was time to create an equally welcoming and functional environment outside, Broxap stepped in.
As an outdoor street furniture specialist, our goal was to provide high-quality, long-lasting products that would encourage young people to socialise and relax.
We designed a variety of Litchard Benches and Litchard Picnic Benches that provide perfect spots for young people to gather, take a break, or enjoy a snack outdoors. Manufactured using FSC-certified timber, the benches deliver both quality and style.

To support those who cycle to the centre, we installed a stylish and secure Regal Cycle Shelter complete with two Sheffield Cycle Racks.
Our Secured by Design certified Sheffield Cycle Stands were also dotted around the building to accommodate additional bikes. This encourages sustainable travel but also ensures peace of mind for young people and their families that their bikes will be safe while parked.
To enhance site safety and traffic control, we also supplied Semi Domed Stainless Steel Bollards.
The positive impact that the Salford Youth Zone will have on the lives of countless young people is immeasurable, and we’re proud that Broxap products will continue to support this mission for years to come.
