The school had originally installed a Broxap Newcastle shelter however this year it had been noted that a change in the wind direction had brought about a cooler blast of air that sometimes blew beneath the canopy and therefore created a chillier environment to the outdoor classroom. The school asked Broxap for advice and after a visit by our area contact he suggested the retro-fitting of end panels complete with PETg UV and PVC roller blinds to the frontage of the shelter to eliminate the problem.

The panels and PVC roller blinds with velcro fixing were retro-fitted to the shelter, the PVC had clear shaped panels that allowed light in and the children to see out, multi-colours were used to add a vibrant and eye catching effect.

The result was that the children love the PVC panels and during the winter months the shelter is warmer and now the ideal outdoor classroom all year round.
