A key centre of excellence for technology, science, health and engineering is building more benefits for its community of businesses through outdoor infrastructure.
Surrey Research Park, owned and operated by the University of Surrey, is based within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South East England.
It is home to a series of like-minded businesses ranging from multi-nationals and small and medium sized enterprises to start-ups and university spin-outs.
The research park encourages collaboration and networking between tenants, who also have access to the university’s skilled workforce.
Broxap Street Furniture was commissioned by the park’s maintenance contractor ABC Group to manufacture seven Litchard Steel Framed Timber Picnic Units for the site.
Each unit is made up of one table and two benches, featuring slatted tops. The steel framework is galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 and powder coated Anthracite Grey.
The picnic units have been installed in pockets of green space around the park which is home to 80 companies.
They offer outdoor dining and break out spaces enabling members to enjoy the full benefit of the park’s surroundings.
A 90-litre Maelor Traflex Round Litter Bin was also supplied.
The order comes after Broxap manufactured cycle parking facilities for the site in 2013.
