Broxap designed and manufactured a bespoke Kings Cross Bench for Shrove Hill, creating a distinctive seating feature tailored specifically to the industrial and sporting environment at Turnpike Lane.

The custom half-circle design provides 13,195mm of continuous seating, creating a substantial yet welcoming feature that encourages people to stop, sit and spend time in the area.

The bench combines FSC hardwood timber slats with a robust steel frame, delivering a balance of natural aesthetics, durability and structural strength. Two mild steel armrests provide additional comfort and support, while the generous 450mm seat height and width create comfortable everyday seating.

With an external radius of 4,200mm, the sweeping curved form gives the bench a strong visual presence while allowing it to complement the surrounding landscape and architecture.

Designed specifically for the location, the custom bench makes efficient use of the available space while providing seating for multiple users. Its curved configuration can help define an area, create a natural gathering point and encourage informal social interaction, making it suitable for a busy mixed-use setting where people may be visiting for sporting, recreational or work-related activities.

The combination of hardwood and steel also provides a practical, long-lasting solution capable of withstanding regular outdoor use.
