Production Planner

About Us:

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30

The Role:

To expand and strengthen our existing planning team, we are looking to recruit an additional Production Planner to assist in all areas of capacity planning, administration, and progressing the production and finishing of our products to meet customer and installation delivery dates.

To be considered for this challenging role, you will need previous experience in a production planning role and experience of working with a computerised MRP/ERP system, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capacity planning production stages, including fabrication, galvanising, and powder coating, based on the programme required.
  • Carrying out and assisting with time studies to maintain accurate capacity plans.
  • Scheduling and maintaining the accuracy of works orders within the MRP system.
  • Issue accurate production plans to production and track its progress.
  • Assisting with maintaining stock levels above the minimum required.
  • Regularly review work order dates inline with stock, sales order demands, and production plans.
  • Plan, organise and progress any sub-contract finishings (e.g. galvanising, tantalising, etc).
  • Liaise with relevant departments to expedite information where required.
  • Communicate production completion dates to departments (Customer Services, Installations, etc) to assist in data management being maintained.

Experience and Skills Required for the role:

  • Relevant experience within a manufacturing production environment with previous planning/scheduling experience.
  • Competent IT user, including MS Office - training on our bespoke planning (ERP/MRP) systems will be provided.
  • A broad understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
