The school had a requirement for an outdoor dining area and Broxap were awarded the contract to design, manufacture and install a solution that was sympathetic to the existing school.
Broxap provided a design incorporating a large run of its Plymouth Wave shelters, these are particularly modular allowing for long continuous runs and also fell ‘in line’ with the existing school roof and did not project above the flat roof of the school.
Clad with Multiwall PET and with guttering at the front, rain water is shed down the slope of the canopy and into the guttering which disperses it into downpipes positioned at column legs.
The hot dip galvanized structure was powder coated in a blue and white guttering used to complement the existing school building.
Picnic units beneath provide a seated area for pupils who can now either take lessons or lunch outside whatever ever the weather.
Broxap also provided the school with two waiting shelters comprising of multi coloured Newcastle Junior shelters.
