Wilencote High School is a high achieving, larger than average school. As well as being an award winning school, the school has also gained National Healthy School status.
They were looking to expand their dining area and want to utilise an underused courtyard area. In order to do this the area needed to be covered so it could be used in all weathers. However, the courtyard was completely enclosed so access was therefore an issue.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Broxap worked closely with the school to come up with a solution. We provided a series of bespoke Newcastle shelters, completely covering the area; roof vents were also provided to allow air flow in this newly created outdoor dining area.
Cranes were used to lift goods and equipment in and out of the area, ensuring minimal disruption to the school and its pupils.
