Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30, with additional hours as may be required
Holidays: 25 days holiday entitlement, plus 8 bank holidays

The Role:
As part of our continued investment in operational excellence, we are seeking an enthusiastic HSE Coordinator to strengthen our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental team.
Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will support the delivery of a safe, compliant, and well-managed working environment across our manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics operations.
Working closely with managers across the business, you will help maintain legal compliance, promote best practice, support audits and investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
- Prepare and maintain risk assessments, COSHH assessments, safe systems of work, and HSE documentation.
- Assist with accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Carry out workplace inspections and safety audits across manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics operations.
- Support compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, CHAS, and other management systems.
- Monitor statutory inspections, training records, contractor controls, and compliance documentation.
Experience and Required Skills:
- Around 3-5 years' experience in a Health & Safety role.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, steel fabrication, timber production, warehousing, logistics, or another industrial environment.
- A practical, organised, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, DSEAR, and risk assessment processes.
Desirable
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
