Asymmetric Gullwing Canopies

Giving visual direction and attention to purpose, the Asymmetric Gullwing Canopy is not just appealing because of its looks. This important design exploits asymmetry to convey movement or highlight focal points. It means the Asymmetric Gullwing Canopy is particularly useful in the creation of covered walkways.

As a walkway canopy, the design can steer pedestrian travel. It can also act with a dual purpose, perhaps providing shelter for cycle parking on one side and cover for walkers on another. If a canopy is needed to cover a lengthy trail, the Asymmetric Gullwing Canopy provides visual interest to break up monotony in the landscape.

This design is also an important tool in reflecting the feel of a place. With a Symmetric Gullwing Canopy, two roof panels mirror each other along a central spine. In the Asymmetric version, the roof panels are of different sizes achieving a much more dynamic and casual look.

The Asymmetric Gullwing Canopy isn’t constrained by formality, and as a major design feature it can evoke feelings of excitement and vitality. For these reasons, the use of this design is quite often found at places such as airport terminals where passengers are winding down from the 9-5 grind and looking forward to going on holiday.

Whatever the use or reason for incorporating an Asymmetric Gullwing Canopy, the basis of the design is rooted in a safe and solid structure delivering results over a durable, long life. Many products have a modular design, allowing the canopies to be easily and smoothly installed and expanded.

As well as walkways the Asymmetric Gullwing Canopy can be adapted to suit almost any application, and is available with a choice of optional extras, including eco-friendly internal LED strip-lighting.

With welded end frames and heavy-duty box sections, all assembled with anti-tamper high strength bolts, customers can be sure that every structure is built to last.

Testimonials

"The quality of service and installation was second to none"

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, your design team and your installation team for their hard work and performance at Richmond Primary School in Hinckley.

As you know the design concept for the canopies was particularly difficult to achieve and the finished product is an important feature of the school.

Your assistance and advice to Value Engineer the finished design was crucial and fundamental in their inclusion in the finished scheme.  Throughout the procurement and design processes the open communication links has resulted in a product that not only looks great but is one that the end user is thrilled with.

The finished product belies the effort required, particularly when considering the sequencing, access and programme difficulties which proved a challenge for all of us.  The quality of service and installation was second to none.

"Great Job"

Have to say Broxap Ltd did a great job of realising our design for a cantilevered pergola. They also supplied purpose made benches.
