Monopitch Canopies

Monopitch canopies feature a single sloped roof, supported by a series of beams or supports. This design is simple but highly effective making it one of the most recognisable structures in our collection.

Although straightforward and uncomplicated, the Monopitch meets all the functional requirements of a canopy. With submerged fixing and anti-tamper high strength bolts, they’re solidly built to withstand almost any weather condition. The gently sloped roof, guttering, and downpipes efficiently channel even the heaviest of downpours, keeping everyone beneath dry and comfortable. The beams are well-placed and unobtrusive which creates a space which is bright, open and airy while remaining completely sheltered. It’s because of this that Monopitch canopies are the perfect choice for almost any application or use.

And although the underlying design is simple, the Monopitch is certainly interesting. These canopies can extend from an existing building or structure with a wall mounting or can stand separately on columns. Roofing materials range from tensile fabric to toughened glass or even multicoloured polycarbonate sheets. The glazing bars can even become a feature of the canopy by incorporating materials with aesthetic as well as strength properties such as aluminium. Or for a more traditional look the Monopitch can include decorative trusses, spandrels and lattice beams.

A Monopitch canopy can follow a straight or curved walkway and can be built to any length, width or height. This makes the design a good choice for an extensive covered walkway to link buildings or provide a safe entrance route, while a smaller, lighter contemporary version might be just right to frame a doorway and give a premises a simple yet striking appearance.

Whether a simple construction is needed for a smoking or vaping shelter or a large, covered area for outdoor teaching, you really cannot go wrong with Monopitch canopies.

Testimonials

"The quality of service and installation was second to none"

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, your design team and your installation team for their hard work and performance at Richmond Primary School in Hinckley.

As you know the design concept for the canopies was particularly difficult to achieve and the finished product is an important feature of the school.

Your assistance and advice to Value Engineer the finished design was crucial and fundamental in their inclusion in the finished scheme.  Throughout the procurement and design processes the open communication links has resulted in a product that not only looks great but is one that the end user is thrilled with.

The finished product belies the effort required, particularly when considering the sequencing, access and programme difficulties which proved a challenge for all of us.  The quality of service and installation was second to none.

"Great Job"

Have to say Broxap Ltd did a great job of realising our design for a cantilevered pergola. They also supplied purpose made benches.
