Bandstands

Traditionally, bandstands are circular or semi-circular structures designed as a setting for bands and musicians to perform to the general public, whether that be on a pier, or in a park or garden. Broxap have designed and built a wide range of different bandstands for a variety of uses.

Whilst the traditional Victorian bandstands are still very popular today, Broxap has also created more contemporary bandstands, such as the Ursuline Performing Arts Canopy, which gives a more modern edge to performing in an outdoor space.

Our traditional-style bandstands in an octagonal shape, and usually with intricate decoration – such as the Isle of Wight Bandstand – are always popular. Their classic design means they are the ideal bandstand for numerous different settings. Another bandstand that is built in a typical style is the Bury Bandstand, which is produced using modular components, allowing a quick and easy installation.

Broxap aren’t afraid to think outside of the box, however, and with the Rotundas we have taken the general shape of a bandstand and given it a twist by making it very simple with a hexagonal shape and a tensile waterproof fabric canopy, perfect for a more relaxed and laid back environment, providing protection for those sitting outside in a park or public open space.
