The sensitive redevelopment of historic buildings called for high quality outdoor furniture to finish the scheme to an exceptional standard.
Broxap Street Furniture was contracted by residential developer Watkins Jones to work on the Belle Vue project in Leeds.
The scheme involved the regeneration of two adjacent sites which included a former textile factory and an old secondary school.
Under the development, close to the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University, a 320-bed student accommodation block was created.
A total of 61 residential apartments and 261 private-rented affordable homes for key workers completed the £45 million scheme.
As part of the purpose-built accommodation, outdoor areas were also developed for community use.
Broxap designed and manufactured a wide range of seating to complement the properties.
This included nine timber and steel Litchard Seats with backrests, featuring hardwearing galvanised frames and FSC iroko slats.
A further 11 Fenwick Benches and nine individual timber gateside cubes were arranged around the grounds of the development which was praised in the 2019 Leeds Architecture Awards.
Broxap was also able to supply two Ashton cigarette bins to encourage residents and visitors to dispose of their smoking-related litter responsibly.
