The University is constantly working to reduce the environmental impacts of travel generated by its staff and students. As such, it actively supports cycling and walking as part of its Green Travel Plan.
Along with many other initiatives such as cycle training, bike doctor visits and bike maintenance classes it wanted to provide a safe and secure cycle parking solution to its cyclists and their bikes.
After consulting with Broxap’s cycle parking specialists they opted for a bespoke ‘Bikeshed’ style cycle compound; with a galvanised steel finish in keeping with both its surroundings and the University’s budget; it is accessed via data entry system using University ID cards. The secure compound provides cycle parking for 100 bikes, along with lockers for 50.
