Trafford College in Manchester required the provision of two secure cycle parking hubs adjacent to the main entrance in what was effectively ‘dead space’.
They invited Broxap to design two units that would fit in the recessed areas of the existing building whilst complimenting the appearance of the buildings facade. Broxap designed two of their MU MK2 Bikesheds to suit the location and offer a secure cycle parking facility to users, accessed via a lockable sliding gate the units are clad with Multiwall Polycarbonate to allow a vast amount of light into the shelter however internal day/night sensor driven LED lighting was added to give extra brightness inside during hours of darkness.
Trafford College livery was added to the shelter and users now have the ability park cycles in a safe, dry environment.
