The School had a requirement to create a new and exciting outdoor classroom and play area and asked Broxap (and their playground division Hand Made Places) to provide this.
Broxap suggested an Asymmetric Delamere Canopy to create the outdoor classroom element which would sit adjacent to the school building and outside the existing classroom door, this would lead to an area with soft play surfacing and play equipment provided by Hand Made Places.
The canopy is constructed of FSC® (FSC-C122338) certified Softwood and had roofing panels of ClearView Polycarbonate and has aluminium guttering that leads to a downpipe to shed rainwater at ground level.
Play equipment consisted of a Story Telling area complete with Story Tellers Chair and benches, a theatrical star stage with Conga Drums and Chimes. Also provided was an activity area that consisted of a Littlegarth Activity Centre, Balance BEam, Stepping Stones and a ‘Duck & Weave’.
Hand Made Places also provided a ‘Mud Kitchen’ and some timber planters.
All Hand Made Places playground equipment is also FSC® Certified.
