Broxap Street Furniture’s design and build expertise has helped to deliver a school fit for the future.
Our engineers worked closely with main contractor Morgan Sindall Construction to create an entrance canopy and covered walkway for Westvale Park Primary Academy.
The 420-place school in Horley, Surrey, has been built to serve the growing Westvale Park estate and ease pressure on places in the wider area.
The two-storey academy, run by the Aurora Academies Trust, was designed to create a permanent legacy within the community.
As the school is constructed using a bespoke Streif closed modular panel system, Broxap developed two freestanding canopies of treated softwood in keeping with the natural timber cladding on the building.
The main Delamere Timber Monopitch Canopy has a polycarbonate roof and will be used to support outdoor learning opportunities.
Westvale Park Primary School is in the process of becoming a Forest School, forging close links to the natural environment to provide enrichment and inspiration for children.
At 30.5 metres long, the walkway shelter came complete with UPVC guttering and downpipes as well as protective foam pads to enhance safety for pupils.
The Delamere entrance canopy is clad in glass to provide a stunning high-quality welcome at the school.
The nature theme is continued throughout the site including Sofco Cycle Shelters supplied and installed by Broxap.
With polycarbonate end panels in a contemporary leaf shape, the four shelters provide essential protection for cycle users.
The near £58,000 order also included Senior Sheffield Cycle Racks, with enough secure cycle parking provision for 34 bikes. Door barriers completed the project.
Our commitment to technical excellence makes Broxap a key supplier to the UK’s critical infrastructure sector.
From supply only to a full turnkey operation, our assurances place Broxap as a preferred single source partner to Britain’s construction industry.
