Parks across Bedford Borough have been furnished with new 480-litre litter and recycling bins to encourage visitors to keep green spaces clean.
Housing two, 240-litre containers, the large capacity bins are designed to make it as easy as possible for people to dispose of all types of waste.
The design also reduces the risk of overflowing bins, with crews having to make fewer journeys to empty the containers.
Broxap Street Furniture worked with Bedford Borough Council to include the Recycle for Bedford Borough campaign livery.
The 26 Derby Double Wheelie Bin Containers feature the campaign’s orange vinyl logo on the recycling side of the bin, and the Bedford coat of arms in gold on the litter side.
The galvanised steel bins feature a pyramid lid with a stubbing plate on the litter side.
The vinyl logos are complemented by laser cut text identifying which side is which.
Four parks across Bedford now boast the bins: Jubilee Park, Bedford Park, Mowsbury Park and Allen Park.
Litter and dog waste is collected in one side, while the recycling side is for paper, cardboard, cans and plastic bottles.
The bins have four posting apertures for users approaching from different directions. They are polyester power coated Black RAL 9005.
