Bupa UK, one of the UK’s leading healthcare companies, recently acquired a new regional headquarters in MediaCityUK, Salford Quays from the Peel Group. The company signed a 15-year pre-let with The Peel Land & Property Group to lease the 145,000 sq. ft development, known as The Regent.
The purpose-built headquarters was completed in 2018, and around 2,000 Bupa staff relocated from two neighbouring buildings at Salford Quays.
The property, located to the west of Manchester city centre, can be accessed from Junction 3 of the M602. It also benefits from its own stop on the Metrolink.
Working with Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure Ltd, Broxap designed and manufactured a range of street furniture for the area.
Broxap's Ashton Floor Standing Cigarette Bins were designed with a sleek and modern aesthetic that complemented the design of the healthcare building. Stainless steel bollards were installed at different locations around the building to create a barrier between pedestrians and vehicles. These included both pointed top bollards and those with designated disabled parking signs, making them easily identifiable.
Our heavy-duty Door Barriers were installed to mark the external openings of doors, creating a safe space for pedestrians, and preventing accidents.
Finally, our Stainless Steel Curve Cycle Stands were designed to provide a secure and convenient location for employees to park their bicycles.
The result was a successful project that provided a safe and comfortable environment for all who visited and worked in the healthcare building.
