A flagship sports campus which is home to a wide range of world-class sports, leisure and community facilities now includes cycle parking provision by Broxap. Working with Morgan Sindall Construction, Broxap was asked to design, manufacture and install a cycle parking shelter, including a parking rack, at the entrance to the new HQ for Rugby League in England. As part of the Etihad Campus, Super League Europe and The Rugby Football League (RFL) have joined the likes of City Football Academy, National Cycling Centre, National Squash Centre and the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance in operating from the 200-acre site. The development, situated next to the Etihad Stadium, involved the fast track refurbishment of existing offices owned by Manchester City Council to provide modern facilities for the RFL. About 100 Super League and RFL staff who work across every level of the game have moved into the offices. A new signature entrance was formed for the new tenants, and this area proved the perfect location for the cycle parking facilities. A Wardale 5,000mm shelter was installed, fitted with a space-saving sliding gate with mesh cladding and mechanical lock. With clear roof and end cladding, the shelter offers plenty of visibility and security for cycle owners. The shelter offers parking for up to 12 bikes, with a Senior Sheffield Cycle Rack installed for ease and convenience.
