An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector/Fettler to join our Manufacturing Team.

Our family-owned business specialises in the design, manufacture & installation of shelters, covered walkways, street furniture and sports and playground equipment.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 Friday 07:30 - 13:30

Holidays: 25 days holiday entitlement, plus 8 bank holidays

The Role:

Based at our Chesterton site, we are looking for Fettlers who can assist with picking and packing products and components predominantly in mild steel.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure goods are inspected and checked against picking list or drawing.
Fettle products as required.
Issue all parts for powder coating.
Accurately wrap and pack to a high standard.
Loading transport vehicles if required.

Experience and Required Skills:

Correct PPE for the job.
Competent in use of FLT.
Understanding of measuring equipment.
Interpretation of pick lists.
Use of relevant cutting, grinding and shaping equipment.
Use of cranes and slings.
Department housekeeping.
Manual handling and grinding disc training advantageous
