Product Details:

A Timber Walkway Canopy with Asymmetric Roof Design

The Delamere Asymmetric Walkway is designed to create covered pedestrian connections while maintaining a natural, unobtrusive appearance. Its asymmetric roof form allows the canopy to adapt to site constraints, surrounding buildings and circulation routes without imposing a uniform or rigid structure.

The design is particularly suited to educational settings, public buildings and commercial sites where sheltered movement between spaces is required.

Structural Timber Frame and Roof System

The walkway is formed using a robust softwood timber structure, supported by galvanised steel fixings to BS EN ISO 1461 standards. The roof is clad with high-strength multiwall polycarbonate, providing overhead protection while allowing natural light through the canopy.

Corners and changes in direction can be accommodated using hip joints or overlapping canopy sections, allowing the walkway to follow complex routes across a site.

Flexible Configuration and Enclosure Options

The Delamere Asymmetric Walkway can be supplied as an open-sided canopy or adapted with side and infill panels to form a partially or fully enclosed pedestrian route. This flexibility allows the canopy to respond to exposure, privacy or safeguarding requirements.

Widths, heights and column spacing can be adjusted to suit existing site conditions, making the system suitable for both new-build and retrofit projects.
