Drop Off Shelters
As with every Broxap product, the safety of the user lies at the heart of our vehicle pick-up and drop-off shelters. Whether it be parents on the school run, patients and ambulance staff transferring to hospital, or groups travelling by mini bus to clubs and activities, a pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) canopy serves many uses.
The addition of a PUDO shelter helps to create a designated waiting zone, acting as a clear marker to the correct location for vehicles to stop and passengers to stand. Shelters and canopies offer protection from the sun and the rain, helping to keep people comfortable as they meet their drivers and during boarding and alighting. With a vehicle drop-off shelter, there’s reduced risk of congestion or hazardous parking at a site as the clearly visible PUDO point serves a distinct purpose. It acts as an aid in the communication of important messages to vehicle owners about traffic management.
A bespoke pick up or drop off canopy is built to the needs, capacity and requirements of each location. Our engineers factor in issues such as vehicle heights, tail lift operation, the loading and unloading of equipment and luggage as well as the space needed for manoeuvres. As well as excellent functionality, a shelter or canopy from Broxap offers durability and longevity. Built to withstand regular use as well as exposure to the elements, our design and build teams advise on the best materials, treatments and finishes available to bring about added value.
Our standard styles can be adapted to complement or enhance the landscape, adding interest without hindering visibility or incorporating sympathetic design techniques for seamless integration with surroundings. Our teams are readily available to discuss any pick up and drop off shelter scheme, whether it be a retrofit product or part of a new development.
